Mini-Circuits’ Amplifier Maintains Flat Gain from 8 to 14 GHz

Mini-Circuits’ model ZVE-143-S+ is a wideband amplifier with extremely flat gain from 8 to 14 GHz. The two-stage, Class A unconditionally stable amplifier maintains 19 dB gain within +/-0.8 dB across the frequency range, with +28 dBm typical output power at 1-dB compression. It has a typical output third-order intercept point of +35 dBm and typical noise figure of 4.5 dB. The typical input and output VSWR across the full frequency range is 1.50:1. Suitable for communications, radar, and test applications, the amplifier draws 350 mA typical current from a +12-VDC supply. It measures 1.05 × 1.01 × 0.35 in. (26.67 × 25.65 × 8.977 mm) with SMA connectors and is available with or without a heatsink, as models ZVE-143-S+ and ZVE-143X-S+, respectively. The RoHS-compliant amplifier is designed for use at ambient temperatures from -40 to +54°C and baseplate temperatures from -40 to +85°C.
