Mini-Circuits’ model EQY-10-453+ is an absorptive gain equalizer with a 10-dB slope of increasing attenuation/loss from DC to 45 GHz; other models are available with attenuation slopes of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 dB. The compact device, which is fabricated with a GaAs MMIC integrated-passive-device (IPD) process, is well suited for leveling the gain and amplitude of wideband circuits The 10-dB attenuation response begins with typical insertion loss of 12.0 dB at 10 MHz, 10.0 dB at 10 GHz,
6.9 dB at 20 GHz, 4.3 dB at 30 GHz, 2.4 dB at 40 GHz, and 1.8 dB at 45 GHz. The VSWR is typically 1.17:1 from 10 MHz to 10 GHz, 1.20:1 from 10 to 20 GHz, 1.27:1 from 20 to 30 GHz, 1.28:1 from 30 to 40 GHz, and 1.44:1 from 40 to 45 GHz. The RoHS-compliant, patent-pending design handles as much as +28 dBm input power at operating temperatures from -55 to +105°C. It is supplied in a 2 × 2 mm 6-lead MCLP™ package.
